GES Issues Urgent Notice to Director II and Director I Applicants Awaiting Response The Ghana Education Service (GES) Headquarters has released an important update concerning teachers who applied for promotion to the ranks of Director II and Director I but are yet to receive any feedback regarding their application status. In a notice shared by Daniel Fenyi from GES HQ, the Service has clarified the reason behind the delay and outlined the necessary steps affected applicants should take to resolve the issue. According to the update, the promotion team has already dispatched messages to all applicants detailing the next line of action. This means every qualified applicant who submitted an application for the Director II or Director I position should have received an SMS notification by now. 2026/2027 Academic Calendar For Basic Schools Released By GES The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially released the approved 2026/2027 Academic Calendar for all Basic Schools across the country. The calendar was released in an Immediate Release letter dated 6th May, 2026, signed by the Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenyi. The letter, referenced as GES/HQ/PR/26/136, was addressed to all Basic School heads, teachers, learners and stakeholders. According to GES, the calendar covers Kindergarten, Primary and Junior High Schools (JHS) and outlines all reopening dates, closing dates, vacation periods and mid-term breaks for the entire academic year. The programme is exclusively for KNUST students and will run from January to May 2027. This international academic mobility opportunity is aimed at exposing KNUST students to a different educational system, culture and research environment in Europe.
